The Nokia C6 phone continues the now popular C series, and now nears the characteristics of Nokia's N97, however it is way less expensive. Read this full Nokia C6 review to find out more.
If you take the older model Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, you will find it quite similar to the C6. Meaning that whatever it was that Nokia improved, it was most likely internal more than the surface design.
The Nokia C6 has a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, that spans almost the entire frontal part of the phone. It's a 360x640 resolution resistive display bringing decent response, but of course not as good as capacitive displays. Under the display there are 3 keys as well as a second cameraand light sensor above it. There is a small charger port on the phone's bottom, and the top side holds the microUSB port and the 3.5mm audio jack. The phone's left side has the microSD card slot, that comes with a 2GB card and can hold up to 16GB.
The top area of the C6 slides toward the right unleashing a full QWERTY keyboard, with 4 rows of keys and a D-pad next to it. This is more generous than the 3 rows keyboard found on Nokia N97, and this means less function keys for the same amount of input. This 4-row keyboard is also the phone's major improvement over 5800, and brings plenty of finger space while texting.
The C6's camera comes with a lens placed at the back of the phone, near the LED flash. Since the camera lens is unprotected, you have to take extra care to keep it intact.
The battery on the C6 is a BL-4J holding 1200mAh. It lasts up to 384 hours in standby mode, 5 hours for 3G or 7 hours regular talk time. It can also last for 30 hours playing mp3's before needing a recharge. The C6 cannot be charged with normal USB, so you always need the charger.
Other features of the C6 include: 3.6Mbps HSDPA support; VGA@30fps video recording; Wi-Fi connectivity; GPS with Assisted-GPS complete with voice-guided navigation; Kinetic scroll; Flash support for web browser.
We trust this brief Nokia C6 review has been enough to help you decide regarding your next smartphone.
